GMD qualifiers for video recordings

As of April 8, 2015, the rules on this page have been approved in concept by the SCRAP committee, but the exact wording is still being adjusted.
Please use these rules. Please send any feedback to SCRAP.

For videorecordings cataloged according to AACR2, use one the following GMDs in the CCS catalog. Do not add a GMD to records for DVDs or Blu-rays that are cataloged according to RDA.[1]

[videorecording (DVD)]
[videorecording (Blu-ray)]
[videorecording (Blu-ray 3D)]
[videorecording (Blu-ray + DVD)]
[videorecording (HD-DVD)]
[electronic resource (eVideo)]

If the record has the proper GMD equivalent fields, the qualifier may be omitted.[2] Note: When editing a GMD qualifier in records with non-Latin text in 880 fields, also be sure to edit the GMD field in the corresponding 880 field.
