Local authors are traced by adding a local geographic subject heading for the city or town, with the subdivision "Authors."

Do not use a local heading with "Local authors" in subfield a.

Correct: 

691 Lake Forest (Ill.)‡xAuthors.


Incorrect: 

690 Local authors‡xLake Forest (Ill.)
