Blu-ray + DVD combo packs
Blu-ray + DVD combo packs may be cataloged either on one record as a set, or on separate records for each format, depending on how the items are circulated.
Cataloged as a set
If the item is in Blu-ray packaging and Blu-ray is mentioned first, treat Blu-ray as the primary format. If the item is in DVD packaging and DVD is mentioned first, treat DVD as the primary format.
- 250 (Edition)
- Transcribe or supply an edition statement of the type:
[Blu-ray + DVD combo pack]. [DVD + Blu-ray combo pack].
- 300 (Physical description)
- Prefer "1 Blu-ray disc ... +‡e1 DVD" over "2 videodiscs".
- 538 (System details)
- Include field for each format.
Cataloged separately

Digital copy discs: If a separate "digital copy" disc is retained, include it on the Blu-ray record; if your library doesn’t circulate the Blu-ray, the digital copy may be included on the DVD record. Do not catalog digital copy discs separately.
